Keentel Engineering electrical engineering team

We’re not just engineers—we’re problem solvers, system thinkers, and quiet revolutionaries helping power the future.

Across the United States, our 51-member electrical engineering team shows up every day to bring certainty to complexity. We’re licensed. We’re seasoned. And we’re divided into three groups, each doing what they do best:

The Designers

16 Engineers

They turn lines into lifelines. With tools like AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, PVSyst, and CAD 3D, they translate ambition into design—calculating, modeling, and detailing systems that work the first time.

The Grid Whisperers

17 Engineers

These are your PSCAD, PSS®E, and DIgSILENT experts. They speak the language of large-scale power plants and grid dynamics—ensuring your project plays well with the utility and the future.

The Watchdogs

18 Engineers

They live and breathe compliance. From OSHA and NFPA 70 (NEC) to NERC and FERC, they make sure your systems are bulletproof—ready for inspection, audit, and everything in between.

Power System Design Group

6 Engineers

This team excels in detailed electrical design, utilizing software such as AutoCAD, CAD 3D, Revit, ETAP, and PVSyst. They are proficient in conducting all necessary electrical calculations to support high-quality deliverables for utility-scale and industrial projects.

Power System Studies Group

7 Engineers

Focused on advanced modeling and simulation, this group specializes in conducting dynamic and steady-state analyses using tools such as PSCAD, PSS®E, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory. Their expertise supports large power plant interconnections and grid integration studies.

Regulatory Compliance, Inspection & Audit Group

5 Engineers

This team ensures that our projects meet all relevant codes and standards, including OSHA, NFPA 70 (NEC), and NERC/FERC regulations. They oversee electrical safety compliance, perform regulatory studies, and support audit readiness for both new and existing installations.

Sonny Patel P.E. EC

IEEE Senior Member · Founder & CEO, Keentel Engineering

In 1995, Sandip (Sonny) R. Patel earned his Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Illinois. But degrees don’t build legacies — action does.

For three decades, he’s shaped the power industry from every side of the table: utility engineer, generator lead, NERC Regional Entity Senior Compliance Engineer and Audit Team Lead, and testing and commissioning lead on equipment up to 765 kV. His career spans nuclear, hydroelectric, conventional generation, renewables, oil and gas, mining, and today’s data centers.

Not just an engineer — a Licensed Electrical Contractor in Florida with an Unlimited EC license. Not just an executive — the founder and CEO of Keentel Engineering, where expertise meets execution. Three decades. Multiple states. Endless impact.
